Drummer Boy Camping Resort Reviews
I stayed at Drummer Boy Campground and RV, and it was a really great experience. The campground is very big, so you should bring a bike or wear good walking shoes, because there is a lot of space to cover. I actually liked how big it was, since there was always something to see and do.Everyone there was very friendly, and it felt super safe the whole time. That made it even more enjoyable. There are also tons of activities for families, so kids and adults can all have fun. Whether you’re hanging out at the campground or heading out to explore, there’s always something going on.One of the best parts is that Drummer Boy is really close to Gettysburg. If you’re interested in history, this campground is perfect because you can easily visit all the battlefields, museums, and other historic sites nearby. It’s awesome for families who like to learn about the past while also enjoying the outdoors. We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was very comfortable. The cabins have most of what you need for a couple nights, but if you plan to cook, you should bring your own pots, pans, or cooking tools. The cabins are cozy and clean, and they make a great choice if you don’t have an RV.Overall, I highly recommend Drummer Boy Campground and RV. It’s fun, safe, close to amazing history, and a perfect spot for families.
Aug 24, 2025 · Oem UserI’m disappointed in this place. The staff is friendly however I looked everywhere for a place to dispose of recycling and it appears they do not allow any recycling here. seems they expect you to just mix recyclables in with the trash in the dumpsters. As a customer who appreciates the great outdoors, I would expect a large chain like Thousand Trails to allow recycling on their properties. This site is close to the highway so it’s a bit noisy, but I would consider coming back and even consider a membership if Thousand Trails changes their recycling policies.
Aug 08, 2025 · Xavier TorresThis weekend was my first time RV camping. The company that I work for sent me and my kids here to experience the lifestyle I help everyone else have, for the first time and it was so fun! The campground was clean and maintained very well, the bath houses were clean and the sites were great. As a newbie experiencing it for the first time I did not feel overwhelmed. My only “complaint “ and I use quotes because it was no one’s fault but I did not act quick enough to rent a golf cart! My site was 1/2 mile from the office/general store, where the mini golf, store and the reptile show was. So needless to say I got a lot of exercise LOL!! Also, shout out to the assistant manager for helping us out in a pinch and going above and beyond with the customer service, it was very much appreciated!!! We can’t wait to come back!
Jun 09, 2025 · Erica AlbertThe rooms themselves were rustic cabins. They came fully furnished with most of the things we needed - we had to buy a hand soap because it just had bar soap. It was fairly clean - what you'd expect if you've stayed in a wooden cabin before. We loved leaving the windows open overnight (in May). We listened to the rain as we fell asleep and woke up to the birds singing. It was an excellent location from which to explore downtown Gettysburg and window shop in the stores. The staff were very friendly and helpful with checkin and checkout. We went as a couple this time but could easily see bringing the kids next time.
May 25, 2025 · William MerrittNicely wooded, older campground. Good proximity to Gettysburg Military Park.We were in a pull-through RV site, which was fine. Two out of three restroom stalls were out of order. Did not use the showers. Laundry facility could have been cleaner; I swept the floor myself with the broom that was there. One washer out of three was out of order.
