King Nummy Trail Campground Reviews
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The location appears to have many long term stays-residents. They do not seem to have any minimal standards in terms of tenants requirements for maintaining their sites and or condition of their homes/campers. A shame because there were a few tenants, very few, that had very well kept sites, groomed flower beds and grounds, well maintained homes/campers that were next to run down, neglected homes/campers. Several campers looked abandoned, stacked full with furnishing and surrounded by 2 ft tall weeds. My site was not level and the circuit breaker tripped 3 times during the night with only my A/C and fridge running which made for a poor nights sleep. I reported it before leaving. The lady seemed sincerely apologetic but made no offer to discount a future stay or any compensation. I expressed that I had stayed at another location the last time I was in the area and will go back to that one in the future.
Jun 25, 2025 · Michael D FlathI used to have a trailer in the Lenape section my sister is still there. The gates never work there’s been a rash of robberies and nothing has been done and it sucks because they built the family back there. They were at my sister’s wedding all the people back there around for holidays. You just can’t pick up and leave family. They know that so they say screw you keep raising prices and do a little more to make your time there enjoyable. Glad I got out
Nov 24, 2024 · RayWe stayed in one of the cabin rentals over Memorial Day weekend. Overall, it met our basic needs: lights/outlet, AC, and mini fridge in our cabin (even a TV and our own water spigot which was unexpected). However we were disappointed in the lack of maintenance in the campground. At our cabin site we couldn’t use the picnic table/fire pit due to 2 foot tall weeds covering the entire area. This was consistent throughout the entire campground. There is also no where to park your car and also use your cabin site area (no cars are allowed to park along the road), so we literally had to back our car right up to the fire pit to get it off of the road. Had we stayed here before memorial weekend I would have been more understanding, however, we were expecting better upkeep to have begun for the summer season. Our late check in and checkout was extremely convenient and the office even called us before they closed for the day before we arrived to let us know where to find our check in packet. The bathrooms were rather atrocious. Underwear/socks/clothing tags on the ground, numerous toilets unusable, and the shower stalls were filled with hair clumps, razors, abandoned washcloths etc. hand drier in women’s rooms not working, and no paper towels. Only 2 of the 4 soaps dispensers in women’s room worked. Only 1 of 4 soaps dispensers in men’s room worked. We noticed that this is a campground that 90% of the sites are permanent residences. Think “hard sided camper with a single wide trailer park trailer shimmied up next to it.” A lot of gardens and decks built onto peoples campers. 90% of campground guests were smoking cigarettes as well. The “resident” children from about age 4+ ran around and rode their bikes around without adult supervision. (Wasn’t an issue for us, just want to give others an idea of the type of campground this is).
May 27, 2024 · Rebecca RathjenStayed at King Nummy this past weekend. They seemed to have a friendly staff who contacted me a few days before my stay to ask if I had any questions. Staff was also very friendly when I checked in. Upon arriving to my site, I noticed that it was very wet, swampy, marshy. There was no stone, concrete, black top pad. You were literally in the gross black thick water/mud. There was no escaping it no matter how we positioned the camper. It ended up raining the two days which made the situation even worse. I felt like I should have brought waders or boots to walk from the camper to the truck. Every pair of shoes I brought ended up stuck in the mud. We didn't unpack the screen room and camp chairs as there was nowhere that wasn't mud.
May 07, 2024 · Tracy.I don't recommend this campground, we stayed at too many campgrounds and this one I will stayed away.ProsThe staff was very friendly......Cons*Washroom needs TLC, they are maybe from the 1980, old, malfunction, no vents or AC, they have windows with mosquitos nets but they are full of dirt and hair, I though staff cleaning the washhroom but still dirty after they are done, the showers are disgusting and you are lucky if you get some warm watter.*Our site was not maintained, high grass, no cement pad or gravel, they had garbage from the previous people or maybe from before, the fire rings full of cigarettes and ashes ( it wasn't clean).*From the first day tothe last one our site the ground was permanently wet and muddy, big ponds of watter around the trailer and at the back (brown dirty water).*No WiFi, the only place you can get Wi-Fi is at the office(inside) or just beside the pool,.if.you want at your site cost extra monet.* Lots of barking dogs , I love dogs but my dog is quite and respectful, this place is full of barking dogs and because they are permanent resident they are no complaints.* Swiming pool are nice and big , but there is no control of people having drinks and food even inside the pool, I told one of the person at the camp they were eating and dropping food inside the pool but nothing was done.
