Jun 03, 2025 · Eddie OttingerI have gone to Shawn's hideaway to do tree work for many years. 15 yrs ago I went there to climb their tall pines and found a nice little community full of both seasonal and year round residents. Most everyone I came across was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice little marina on the bay and plenty of room to fish . I've never been the type for camper living but now that I'm getting older it had found a certain appeal and if I do decide to ever buy a camper or trailer Shawn's would be the first place I would try to get a spot.
Apr 23, 2022 · Hi TravelerDon't bother calling them for short term stays, they only cater to seasonals. The guy was rude & obnoxious, telling me to go to MD where they like weekenders & it's only 10 miles away he said. I was purposely avoiding that area due to the fact that I was coming to the area to visit a friend who lives there & that 10 Mile drive takes 45-60 minutes or longer in the shore traffic. This guy doesn't deserve the business.
Aug 21, 2019 · Kathi OakesIn-laws have a camper down here in the campground. The kids love coming down to hang out and spend time with Nanny and Pappy.. Been coming down here yearly since I met my wife in 2000. Definitely a nice campground..
