Tall Pines Campground Resort Reviews
We booked their primitive cabin for a 2 night stay this weekend because I had to DJ a wedding 10 minutes away. The price was extremely reasonable and the website photos of the cabin looked like it could be maybe a little uncomfortable. There were 4 of us and we thought this was going to be cramped but to our surprise it was very nice. The beds were actually comfortable and the space was ample to setup a little table inside to eat and the AC was great. We did use the grill and fire pit by the picnic table as well. The bathroom was close, clean and functional. The lady on the phone LeeAnn was extremely nice and so was the gentleman who greeted us there. Very friendly folks. It was close to Rehoboth Beach and although we were not there for that, we went to the local Walmart to get supplies. We are experienced campers and been to many other campgrounds and for the price it was a good value. Nothing negative....All positive....We plan on returning for an actual vacation.
Jun 09, 2025 · David HolmesZero stars!!!!! I would never recommend this campground!! With all the rain lately I decided to drive over to the campground before my check in date just to confirm the spot we were going to be in was safe for my 5th wheel. They showed me the spot we would be in and it was muddy grass!! No gravel or concrete, the spots are really tight! I expressed my concern to the volunteer that was helping me and she advised there were no other sites available so I canceled my reservation. The owner, Gail, called to advise she was happy to cancel my 18 night stay but refused to refund any of my reservation costs, that was over $1,000.00!! I am disgusted with the way they do business. I understand a cancellation fee, but they do not make it clear that their fee is 100% of what you pay to book the entire reservation. So they keep my money and are able to charge someone else for the same spot. Seems dishonest to me!! They also have some of the most ridiculous extra charges and pet policies!! The online pictures are not accurate, it’s a dump!
Jun 17, 2025 · norma tatumAfter purchasing at this campground, I've been met with nothing but frustration and disappointment. The staff is consistently unaccommodating and demonstrates a shocking lack of professionalism that has made my time here extremely difficult.Communication is virtually non-existent. When assistance is needed, staff simply doesn't respond, leaving campers to fend for themselves with issues that require management attention. When I've attempted to work with staff to resolve these issues, I've been met with hostility rather than assistance. Their combative attitude makes problem-solving impossible and creates an unwelcoming atmosphere throughout the grounds.Despite being advertised as family-friendly, this campground has proven to be anything but. The environment feels unwelcoming, and it's painfully obvious why so many families quickly move out after arriving. You can literally watch the turnover happening week after week as people discover the reality doesn't match the promises.Purchasing here was a terrible decision that I deeply regret. I'm literally kicking myself for not researching more thoroughly before committing. While I'm hoping the summer season might somehow improve the situation, based on my experience so far, I wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone looking for a pleasant, family-oriented environment.Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your camping needs.
