Thousand Trails Gettysburg Farm Reviews
Amazing pool- very nice. Variety of sites. We stayed down by the river and our site was easy to get into. Some of the sites are on grass. Kids loved the animals. Staff very nice. All amenities were up and running.
Sep 01, 2025 · Jason CorbeillThis campground is part of Thousand Trails. We have a one year free trial with our camper purchase. The campground is large and spacious. Our site was by the river. 30amp water/electric. They have sites with sewer is the "nicer" part of the grounds. They have a dumping station. They have tent sites available as well. The site we were at was 633, its extremely slanted and is a parallel site, so leveling is tricky. Many of the sites near us were muddy and rutted out. When we arrived they assigned us this spot, for some reason I thought I had read that we would get to pick our spot. The bath house near us was closed for "remodeling". Honestly it didn't look like it had been touched in a decade. There was a bath house operational in the center near the dumping station, but was a far walk for us. They have a pool, basketball court, horse shoes, shuffle board and putt putt. The putt putt needed work but was operational. They have a banquet hall theh play bingo in and have an arcade that is small. They have a general store that is small but has some camper equipment for sale. The farm honestly is the best part. You can pet the animals and buy food in the store. The pool looked nice and had a worker maintaining it in the mornings. There are alot of permanent sites here. The river is nice for fishing if you can find a good clearing off the bank. This place is very quiet despite all the kids. This place needs some work but im not gonna complain about free. I believe it's about 80 bucks a night if you pay for it. Overall would stay here again!
Jun 14, 2025 · Amanda MoonWe recently stayed at Thousand Trails Gettysburg Farm and overall had a great experience. It’s a decent-sized Thousand Trails campground with back-in sites and plenty of trees. That said, the tree coverage can make it tricky to get a solid Starlink connection. They do offer campground WiFi, but it’s a paid service. The amenities are solid—there’s a playground, basketball courts, arcade area, mini golf, and a variety of friendly farm animals including horses, pigs, goats, and lambs. Our kids loved visiting the animals and playing outside. The park runs along a beautiful creek, which adds a peaceful atmosphere. It’s also a fantastic location for visiting the Gettysburg battlefield—only a short drive away. One downside was the laundry room. For the size of the campground, it’s pretty small. We had to wait several times for a machine to free up. And the biggest issue we faced: drainage. It rained a lot during our stay, and the campground quickly turned into a muddy mess. Water didn’t drain well at all, and many areas were flooded or swampy for days.Overall, we enjoyed our time—especially the animals and proximity to historic sites—but better drainage and expanded laundry facilities would really improve the experience.
May 22, 2025 · Melissa JackOnly stopped over for a night to break up a very long drive. Spots are easy to get in and out of with a travel trailer. The petting zoo was a nice change from most other campgrounds.
Jul 20, 2025 · Owen McNamaraGreat campground for the whole family; 1-100. Large spaces full hookups or electric and water with sites on the river; cabins too. Plenty of activities, pool, mini golf, basket ball, etc. Alot of grass acres and trail. The store this year is open only 3 days. Sports equipment is near the shuffleboard, basket ball and horseshoes. The cutiest hops scotch is near the picnic pavillion. Large club house and game room with the best air conditioning. Planned activites are now on weekends only. The several areas of farm animals are accssable 24/7. Petting zoo open on Saturday. Quite, peacful, relaxing.Oh! Bring your own golf balls as only mini golf clubs are available. First time this year they have assigned sites. This
