Aces High RV Park Reviews
What a wonderful camp ground ! The owner and staff couldn’t be nicer. Everything was kept so neat and clean, including bathrooms and grounds; beautiful gardens, a large pond/ lake. We were able to fish and release, kayak, canoe and paddle boat. There was a short hiking path surrounding the pond. The salt water pool was great and very refreshing. While we were there we had a karaoke night and ice cream sundae Sunday😊 They are in the process of adding exercise and gym equipment. If anyone is interested in visiting New England or camping in Connecticut this is a perfect place. It’s close to beaches and other attractions . They also have cabins available. We will definitely be coming back . Very quiet and relaxing ! Oh and they are open all year round !Thank you Aces for a wonderful time 😊👍🏻 see you next year if not sooner!
Jul 09, 2025 · Robin SandersWe stayed at Aces High RV Park for a long holiday weekend to visit with our daughter in Connecticut. We paid $150/night for a ‘Premium Waterfront FHU Site’ on the lake. A bit pricey, but really nice site including level concrete pad and patio, clean and well-maintained utilities, and beautiful view.THINGS I LIKED:Clean, well-maintained, and level site with concrete pad and patio (I love a clean, level concrete pad!)Utility hookups were in great condition and everything worked as it should (other parks should come and take a look at how to do this right)Beautiful pond and natural setting with lots of ducks, geese, chickens, and wild birds20-minutes drive to Mystic and all the touristy stuff to see and doThe whole park is quiet and nicely-maintained. You might say that it should be for $150 per night, but we all know that not all parks are - even at higher prices.THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH:This is silly, but I wanted something to improve. The store didn’t stock a selection of stickers so we weren’t able to add to our collection. By the way, doesn’t this really mean it’s a great park if that’s my only criticism?WOULD WE COME BACK?Absolutely, this is a nice place with Mystic nearby.
Apr 25, 2025 · Matthew SiegelEasy to get to with no major hazards between the highways and campground, driving a 40’ class A with a vehicle in tow.Only complaint was it was a bit pricey, but it may because it was the week before 4th of July. & they charge a $10 cash deposit for the gate card, which is fine but the office opens at 9 so plan accordingly the night before leaving unlike me 😉Lots of mature trees and plenty of roomy sites. Didn’t have a need to use the bath house but stuck my head in and it looked clean. Grounds, ponds, pool, dog runs, pickle ball court all in great shape.Water pressure was a bit low and the WiFi kept crashing trying out on the computer but TV was buffering enough that I’d want an issue.
Jun 29, 2025 · Brook SwientiskyPros Well kept grounds. Very clean. Ownership and staff for all friendly and helpful. Campsites are very spacious and not on top of each other like most places. Very quiet and serene. The duct visiting the campsite was a nice touch to the weekend.Cons although they advertised cable it didn't work at all. As a result everybody was on the Wi-Fi which crippled it and didn't work most of the time. Not a lot for kids to do there. It's like camping in a big parking lot. Not a whole lot of trees or wilderness. If you're looking for a very quiet weekend this is the place! If you need to keep your kids occupied stay away from this place.I've been to a whole lot of different campgrounds over the years. I'll give this one four stars out of five overall it was a good experience. But please if you advertise something provide it!
May 26, 2025 · Geno GoguenWe loved it here. The staff/people were so friendly. The utilities worked great. Wifi worked well. We really enjoyed the pool. It was close to everything without feeling like it was close to everything.
