Vey tight sites with a disorganized layout. Not a real marina as it has no power, no storage, and no dock boxes. So either carry all your gear or get ready to take your favorite boat brush and hose on every trip. Also there is no marina manager so if something goes wrong you are on your own. If you were robbed or the boat was damaged it will be a surprise right before that long-awaited boat ride. There are water spickets at the dock where you can hook that hose up you just took to dinner with you, however the water pressure is terrible. If someone else is washing their boat at the same time don't even bother unless you synchronize a rhythm of taking turns spraying. The boat ramp is closed due to lack of maintenance and a collapse which happened several months ago and instead of a repair, picnic tables were placed across the ramp. Also don't think about driving your golf cart after 11, so if you want to do late night laundry or use the bathhouse be sure your shower slippers are comfortable. Management drives their golf carts all night looking for violators. However they really don't need to as the tattletale population is impressive. The water quality at the camp sites is terrible and reeks of sulfur. Most sites flood during heavy rain leaving you stranded in the camper and your gear floating away for several hours. No outside firewood allowed and if your fire smokes you will be asked to extinguish it. Wifi is terrible. Seagull droppings are unbearable at the marina. Sites have only a 50 Amp plug, no 110 additional outdoor outlets, so any accessories like golf cart charger or outdoor lights have to run through your Camper power outlets. You are responsible for all maintenance on your site, if a weed pops up you will be prompted with photos and an email. As convenient as having black tank hookups are, we and other sites were constantly battling clogs in the hookup. I suspect roots growing in sewage pipes. This place is not kid friendly and it is made clear that they don't want your kids here. No activities for children at all. There are no swing sets or rec yards so the kids dig in the dirt they consider a beach. Hence the name, except they are missing the beach. - Derek Barow

River Beach RV Resort Introduce

For New Jersey residents, the idea of a summer getaway often conjures images of the Jersey Shore's famous beaches and boardwalks. However, for those who prefer a more tranquil retreat that still offers proximity to water and recreational activities, RV resorts provide a compelling alternative. Located in Mays Landing, River Beach RV Resort is a seasonal camping destination that offers a unique blend of a peaceful, wooded setting and a waterfront experience on the Great Egg Harbor River. This resort caters to those looking for a long-term summer escape, providing a community for seasonal residents to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. As a prospective camper or seasonal resident, it is important to understand the full scope of what the resort offers, from its amenities and services to the overall atmosphere. This article will provide a comprehensive, factual overview of River Beach RV Resort, drawing on publicly available information and reviews from real customers to help you make an informed decision about your next summer home.

The experience of a seasonal RV resort is different from that of a short-term campground. It’s about building a sense of community and creating a home away from home for an entire season. River Beach RV Resort appears to embrace this model, with a focus on seasonal sites that foster a close-knit group of long-term campers. The provided reviews, while presenting starkly different viewpoints, both offer valuable insights into the reality of life at the resort. One long-time camper praises the resort for its "relaxing atmosphere" and highlights the helpfulness of the staff, noting that they are "always available to help you out." This perspective paints a picture of a peaceful retreat where residents can unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures of nature, such as watching the river and sunsets. Conversely, another review from a different perspective raises a number of serious concerns, including issues with site maintenance, lack of amenities, and a restrictive, monitored environment. This contrasting feedback is crucial for anyone considering a stay at the resort. It underscores the importance of weighing all factors—the natural setting and friendly staff on one hand, and potential issues with rules, maintenance, and amenities on the other—to determine if the resort is the right fit for your specific needs and expectations.

Ultimately, the decision to commit to a seasonal stay at an RV resort is a significant one. The resort’s strengths, such as its beautiful location on the river, may appeal to some, while its perceived weaknesses, such as the reported tight sites and lack of kid-friendly activities, may deter others. Our goal is to provide a balanced overview that allows you to assess these different facets. By presenting both the positive and negative public feedback, we aim to give you a complete and honest look at what you can expect from a stay at River Beach RV Resort. This will help you to determine if the resort’s lifestyle and amenities align with your vision of a perfect summer getaway.
